Hoboken’s Southend Lofts launching condo sales in October

Hoboken developer Taurasi Group will launch sales for Southend Lofts in Hoboken, a collection of 110 one- to five-bedroom condominium homes that combine historic character with modern design, expansive interiors, and high-end finishes.

The development at 38 Jackson St. transforms an industrial property into a residential and lifestyle hub. Initial occupancy is expected later this fall. Sales and marketing are being led by Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing, with VIP registration now open for prospective buyers at www.southendlofts.com.

Southend Lofts breathes new life into a storied part of Hoboken’s industrial past, once home to the Davis Baking Powder and My-T-Fine Pudding factories. Originally constructed in 1893, the five-story building — with its oversized windows, soaring ceilings, and exposed columns — has been restored and expanded with newly built wings rising up to nine stories.

The project was designed by Nastasi Architects to reference its industrial charm, spanning a full city block. While the exterior honors its past, the interiors, imagined by D&G Interiors + Design, bring modern layouts and elevated finishes.

At the heart of the development is a collection of residences with vast interiors, up to 15-foot  ceilings, and private balconies or terraces with views of the Manhattan skyline and Hoboken streetscape. The developers say the homes have no two layouts alike.

Residences feature expansive layouts and original architectural details, offering a level of volume and flexibility that will appeal to buyers seeking the space of a traditional brownstone or townhouse, all within a condominium setting. The penthouses atop the building have four- and five-bedroom duplex homes featuring a large private outdoor terrace and an outdoor kitchen.

The property offers homeowners exclusive access to more than 20,000 square feet of programmed indoor and outdoor amenities, including The Overlook, an eighth-floor rooftop oasis — a veritable park in the sky — highlighted by a 40-foot swimming pool with panoramic views stretching from midtown to Lower Manhattan. The terrace features open green spaces, shaded dining and lounge areas, and communal gathering spots. The property also has an on-site enclosed parking garage. Complementing this is an indoor public atrium.

Located across from the new Southwest Resiliency Park, Southend Lofts is near Observer Highway and Newark Street and also provides access to the Holland Tunnel and New Jersey Turnpike, without having to navigate interior city streets.

Sales will launch this October, with initial occupancy expected for later this fall. Pricing will start at $795,000.
