Mandelbaum Barrett PC grows Hudson County footprint adding Hockstein as partner

Mandelbaum Barrett PC, based in Roseland, said that Linda J. Hockstein, a real estate attorney and founder of Hockstein Law, has joined the firm as a partner, as the firm grows its footprint in Hudson County. She will continue to work out of her Bayonne office at 660 Broadway.

“This expansion of our practice into Hudson County allows us to better serve clients in a growing and dynamic market, while adding Linda’s extensive experience and trusted counsel to our real estate team,” said Mandelbaum Barrett PC Chairman and Real Estate Partner Barry R. Mandelbaum. “It’s a natural step in our firm’s commitment to delivering top-tier legal services across New Jersey.”

Bayonne has become a hot real estate market. According to the City of Bayonne, new apartment buildings in the city are leasing up within four months of getting their certificates of occupancy. Further, a study by the city also revealed that Bayonne’s overall residential occupancy rate is currently 94.6%.

Hockstein founded Hockstein Law in 1996 and focuses her practice on both commercial and residential real estate transactions. On the residential side, she handles hundreds of real estate closings per year in the purchase and sale of real property that includes condominium units, single and multi-family homes, and rental and investment properties.

Her commercial real estate practice supports clients in the acquisition and sale of investment properties, as well as mixed-use, industrial, and warehouse buildings. Hockstein is also frequently retained to represent borrowers, developers, and purchasers to handle complex transactions, including construction loans and refinancing.

“The Bayonne office marks a significant milestone in Mandelbaum Barrett PC’s ongoing growth, reinforcing its presence in one of New Jersey’s most dynamic and diverse communities,” said Mandelbaum Barrett CEO William S. Barrett.

Mandelbaum Barrett’s other New Jersey offices are in Edison, Eatontown, and Elizabeth. The firm has offices in New York City, Denver, and Boca Raton, Fla.
