Goodman Group, a provider of infrastructure for the digital economy, has completed demolition work and received planning board approval to transform the former New York Daily News printing site into a logistics hub – Goodman Logistics Center Jersey City.
The proposed two-building development will deliver up to 427,130 square feet of warehouse space across 17 acres, providing modern, sustainable facilities designed to improve customer productivity and responsiveness to New York’s delivery environment.
Build-to-suit opportunities are available for a limited time to accommodate a variety of uses, including advanced manufacturing, logistics, food and beverage, cold storage and operations requiring intensive automation or robotics.
The development can provide high-power supply, ample ceiling heights, floor capacity for heavy equipment, and trailer parking. With direct access to Interstate 78, close proximity to the New Jersey Turnpike, Holland Tunnel and Port Newark, the site is well connected to the Northeast region.
GLC Jersey City is located at 125 Theodore Conrad Drive, adjacent to Liberty State Park and overlooking Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. It is proximate to 14 million residents within a one-hour drive time from the property.
The project is anticipated to be delivered by year-end 2026.
“Goodman Logistics Center Jersey City will set a new benchmark for high-productivity logistics space in one of the most supply-constrained markets in the U.S.,” said Anthony Rozic, CEO of Goodman North America. “Revitalizing this iconic site enables us to deliver modern infrastructure that supports the evolving needs of our customers.”
A CBRE team of Kevin Dudley, Chad Hillyer, Nicholas Klacik, and Kate Granahan is spearheading the leasing on behalf of Goodman Group.
The Daily News opened the printing facility in 1996 and closed it in 2022. Since then, it has been undergoing redevelopment with Goodman Group. The most recent owner of the property was DN Property Company LLC.
