CentraState Healthcare System names 2026-28 board of trustees officers, members

CentraState Healthcare System, based out of Freehold, announced its 2026-2028 board of trustees officers and its new board of trustees members. 

Maureen M. Lawrence is now chair, succeeding Nadia K. Batchelor who has transitioned to the role of immediate past chair. Barbara J. McMorrow has been named vice chair, and Joseph R. Iantosca becomes secretary/treasurer.

“I look forward to continuing to work closely with these longstanding leaders who have a deep understanding of CentraState and our organization’s strategic direction,” said Tom Scott, president and CEO of CentraState Healthcare System. “We are fortunate to have leaders as dedicated and experienced as Maureen Lawrence, Barbara McMorrow and Joe Iantosca at the helm of CentraState’s governance to provide strong insight and counsel.”

Lawrence joined CentraState’s board in 2017 and most recently served as vice chair. She has an extensive career in higher education leadership that includes her role as the assistant vice president of finance at Pratt Institute and past roles as the chief financial officer at St. Francis College and vice president of finance and administration at both Middlesex College and Brookdale Community College. 

McMorrow joined CentraState’s board in 2020 and most recently served as secretary/treasurer. She was a teacher in Freehold Borough High School before retiring as the principal of Howell High School and has served as the director of the Monmouth County Board of Freeholders (now County Commissioners), the mayor of Freehold Township and the council president of Freehold Borough. McMorrow is the vice chairperson of the Monmouth County Board of Library Commissioners.

Iantosca rejoined CentraState’s board in 2024, having previously served from 2006 through 2017, including as board chair from 2014-2015. He also is immediate past chair of the CentraState Healthcare Foundation board of trustees. Iantosca owns and operates Tosca Associates Inc., a consulting firm focused on community banks and technology companies. He is a member of the advisory boards of TetherView, Vikar Technologies and EazyML. Before forming Tosca Associates, Iantosca held management roles in banks and technology companies.

Additionally, the following individuals have been appointed to CentraState Healthcare System’s board of trustees for the 2026-2028 term: Robert Kash, president, Great Restaurants; Vincent Labbate, senior career consultant, Lee, Hecht, Harrison; Scott Leighty, executive vice president and chief health system officer, Atlantic Health.

CentraState Healthcare System comprises Atlantic Health CentraState Medical Center, a 284-bed acute-care hospital, a health and wellness campus, two senior living communities, a charitable foundation and five satellite health pavilions.
