Bergen New Bridge Medical Center said March 12 that it launched One Bergen Health, PC, a physician-led medical group designed to deliver high-quality, community-based health care that reflects the diversity and vitality of the region. One Bergen Health has opened its first sites in Bergenfield and Ridgewood.
The medical center said One Bergen Health represents the next step in expanding access to care, bringing trusted providers closer to home with a focus on prevention, wellness, and connection. According to Becker’s ASC Review, there are more than 250 physician‑led hospitals currently operate in the U.S.
“One Bergen Health is about bringing our mission directly into our neighborhoods,” said Deborah Visconi, president and CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. “It connects our patients to compassionate, cutting-edge care, whether it’s primary care, women’s health, or specialized services, delivered by physicians who listen to and understand their unique needs.”
One Bergen Health is a hospital-affiliated, physician-led professional corporation aligned with Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. It operates multiple community practice sites across Bergen and surrounding counties, offering:
- Primary & Preventive Care – for adults and families, including chronic-disease management and wellness visits.
- Specialty Services – endocrinology, women’s health, rheumatology, gastroenterology, and more.
- Culturally Competent Programs – care tailored to the Korean, Filipino, Hispanic, and LGBTQ+ communities.
- Integrated Behavioral Health & Telehealth – meeting patients where they are, both in person and virtually.
Bergen New Bridge said this medical group extends the medical center’s commitment to equity and access, while creating a modern, patient-focused environment designed to meet the needs of today’s families.
“At One Bergen Health, we believe that everyone deserves care that’s personal, equitable, and close to home,” said Dr. Christopher Awwad, president of One Bergen Health. “We have one focus, providing convenient and accessible care to our communities by linking people to trusted providers, comprehensive services, and a continuum of care that bridges hospital and home.”
