Day Pitney expands in Fla. through merger with Richman Greer

Day Pitney LLP, a law firm with an office in Parsippany, announced Tuesday it will expand its presence in Florida through a merger with Richman Greer P.A.

The merger, which is expected to be completed on Jan. 1, will have all 15 attorney’s from Richman Greer join Day Pitney.

Richman Greer currently has offices in Miami and West Palm Beach, which Day Pitney will take over upon the merger. Day Pitney, which currently has offices in Boca Raton and Delray Beach, will increase its attorney count in Florida from seven to 22.

“We have been evaluating a number of opportunities to increase the strength and depth of our team in Florida, which is a growing center for business,” Tom Goldberg, Day Pitney’s managing partner, said. “We are thrilled to see our two great firms join together. Richman Greer has a stellar track record of success and a well-earned reputation as a top-level litigation firm, and this merger will expand our litigation capabilities to meet the growing needs of our clients in the U.S. and overseas.”

Richman Greer is one of only a handful of law firms that operate in South Florida’s marketplace. Its attorney’s also routinely serve overseas clients.

“It is truly a privilege to join Day Pitney, which shares our values, including a deep commitment to providing the highest level of client service, a strategic focus on growing the business in Florida and serving a client base consistent with Richman Greer. Day Pitney’s culture is very closely aligned with Richman Greer, including a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, which will make the integration easier to execute,” Manuel A. Garcia-Linares, managing shareholder at Richman Greer, said. “We have been actively seeking the best way to strengthen and expand the range of legal services we can provide for our clients both in and beyond Florida. There is no better firm for us to partner with than Day Pitney.”

Garcia-Linares, Gary S. Betensky, Michael J. Napoleone and Mark A. Romance will all be joining Day Pitney from Richaman Greer as partners.

Other attorneys joining the firm from Richman Greer are: Katherine A. Coba; Nathaniel M. Edenfield; Alan Graham Greer; Dolly Hernandez; Charles H. Johnson; Amanda R. Keller; George L. Metcalfe, Jr.; Adam M. Myron; Steven Naclerio; Gerald F. Richman; and Georgia A. Thompson.
