Archana Bhandari, Hudson County Community College

Hudson County Community College President Chris Reber announced that Archana Bhandari has been appointed executive director of online learning.

“We understand and embrace the value of technology in today’s world, and Ms. Bhandari’s extensive experience will help the college develop new, fully online programs and shape best practices in online education, a strategic priority for HCCC. She will provide leadership to strengthen our technology infrastructure and allow our students to experience and utilize the latest and best technologies,” Reber said. “Her expertise in advising, guiding, planning and creating online and technology-supported resources and incorporating them into curricula will be important as we offer students expanded options in achieving their academic goals through online and hybrid studies.”

Bhandari has a unique combination of leadership, technical expertise and teaching experience. She comes to HCCC from Santa Ana College — part of the Rancho Santiago Community College District in California — where she was director of academic support. In that position, she provided leadership for technology infrastructure, information technology systems hardware and software. In addition, she spearheaded technology policy review and recommendations. She significantly contributed to the district’s strategic plan for technology and was involved with the distance learning community in its migration to Canvas, the online learning platform.

Bradford Hurlbut, Fairleigh Dickinson University

Fairleigh Dickinson University announced that Bradford D. Hurlbut will be the new director of athletics at the University’s Metropolitan Campus, home of the Division I Knights. He began his new role at Fairleigh Dickinson University on Monday.

Hurlbut comes to FDU from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, another member of the Northeast Conference, where he has served as deputy director of athletics since 2013. During his tenure at Sacred Heart, the Pioneers won two NEC Commissioner Cup trophies, three Women’s Cup titles and set the conference standard for community service three times and overall program GPA twice. Hurlbut will replace David Langford, who retired in June 2018 after serving the university for 15 years.

“I am thrilled and truly humbled to become the next director of athletics at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus,” said Hurlbut. “My sincere gratitude to President (Christopher) Capuano and the members of the search committee for choosing me to lead the Athletics Department during this transformative period at FDU. The vision set forth in the university’s strategic plan, coupled with the incredible location of the Metropolitan Campus and the infectious energy exhibited to me during the interview process, makes this a tremendous opportunity.”

In his new role, Zadina will expand the Ancero sales organization in targeted markets putting Ancero on the path to becoming the leading super-regional provider of cloud solutions for the SMB market.
