North Jersey Jewish Business Alliance expands into statewide organization

The North Jersey Jewish Business Alliance has expanded into a statewide organization, it announced at its annual Legislative and Business Luncheon recently.

Founder and Director David Rosenberg said the Union City-based group will be known as the New Jersey Jewish Business Alliance, now that it has welcomed some new members from Central and South Jersey. The name change also allows it to recruit potential member businesses from beyond the northern part of the state.

“I am proud of the growth our organization has experienced in just a few years, through our simple mission of bringing the business community together,” NJJBA board member Maksim Sheyn, senior vice president of business banking and government banking at Investors Bank, said in a prepared statement. “Because we have been able to provide high-quality connections and resources and have helped our members scale their businesses, the demand for membership has grown tremendously and we are able to expand statewide.”

At the annual luncheon, held at the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark, the organization presented its Leadership of Excellence Award to Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, in tribute to his strong leadership after the December shootings at a kosher grocery in the city, as well as for his work during the global COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, the Maimonides Prayer for the Physician Awards were presented to several of the state’s hospitals and health networks, including Hackensack Meridian Health, RWJBarnabas Health, Hudson Regional Hospital and Holy Name Medical Center.

Department of Labor & Workforce Development Commissioner Robert Asaro-Angelo was the keynote speaker at the event.

Rosenberg also announced at the event that Josh Pruzansky had joined the NJJBA as vice president of member relations.
