A new restaurant is planned for the site of the former Backfin Blues Bar and Grill in Wildwood, according to real estate firm Vantage Commercial.
Vantage said the property at 517 W. Rio Grande Ave. has been leased to a new operator, Florian Furxhiu, and will become Furxhiu’s new Mediterranean restaurant, Santorini.
Corinne Giletto, senior adviser with the Cherry Hill-based firm, worked with the undisclosed landlord and new tenant on the lease.
“Corinne was always available to assist us, and she did an excellent job,” Furxhiu said in a prepared statement.
Santorini is scheduled to open in April, bringing the location back into action after Backfin closed at the start of the pandemic.
