Cybersecurity firm moving HQ to Roseland site

Cybersecurity firm Comodo CA is moving its headquarters from Clifton to Roseland, signing a lease for 20,000 square feet at 5 Becker Farm Road, according to real estate services firm CBRE.

Comodo, which specializes in digital website certificates, is taking space at the 118,000-square-foot property owned by a joint venture between Soma Capital Partners and Northlight Capital Partners.

CBRE’s Daniel F. Casey, first vice president, and Joseph A. Sarno, associate, represented ownership in the lease transaction. CBRE’s Remy deVarenne, senior vice president, and Kadeem Goodall-Reid, associate, represented the tenant.

“Since acquiring the property, Soma and Northlight have worked diligently to make 5 Becker Farm Road into one of the most sought-after Class A office properties in Roseland,” Casey said in a prepared statement. “The results speak for themselves, as both existing tenants and the brokerage community has responded to the new space and building upgrades with great interest and enthusiasm.”

The joint venture acquired the property in 2016 and renovated the property with oversight from Accordia Realty Ventures, CBRE said.

“We are tremendously excited to be setting up the Comodo CA world headquarters at 5 Becker Farm,” CEO Bill Holtz said in a statement. “The facility is being equipped for sales, marketing, operations, finance as well as senior executives. The design is expected to improve communications and productivity.”

CBRE said tenant law firm Carella, Byrne, Cecchi, Olstein, Brody & Agnello P.C. renewed its lease at 5 Becker Farm, as well.
