Pilates studio joins tenant mix at Livingston center

A Pilates studio held its ribbon-cutting at a Livingston shopping center, according to developer Eastman Cos.

Club Pilates Livingston occupies about 1,730 square feet at the 93,000-square-foot Shoppes at the Livingston Circle. It is the second New Jersey Club Pilates location owned by Arnold DeGarcia and Helen Angelis, owners of Club Pilates Westfield.

“Both Helen and I are from the area and would often visit, shop and dine in Livingston with our family and friends,” DeGarcia said in a prepared statement. “We knew Livingston would be the perfect spot for our Club Pilates studio, and we are thrilled to open our doors here. Livingston is a dynamic town that supports local businesses, and we value its strong sense of community.”

Livingston-based Eastman Cos. developed and manages the facility at 277 Eisenhower Parkway, while Florian Suserman of Ripco Real Estate — exclusive leasing agent for the property — represented both parties in the transaction.

“Club Pilates is the ideal complement to our growing healthy lifestyle tenant mix at The Shoppes at the Livingston Circle,” Peter Schofel, Eastman Cos.’ managing partner, said in a statement.

The center also includes tenants such as Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Olive Garden and M&T Bank. It recently added the Mezza Mediterranean restaurant, as well, and an Aldi supermarket is expected to open in the future.

Club Pilates is a studio franchiser, founded in 2007. It operates 350 studios around the country.
