Executive Moves: Jump, Perry; Chewsi; and more

Glenn VanPell, Jump, Perry and Co.

Glenn VanPell of Brick has been hired as a tax manager for Jump, Perry and Co., with offices in Toms River, Brick and Manahawkin. As a tax manager, VanPell works extensively on tax and accounting issues with individuals, business clients and nonprofit organizations.

Before joining Jump, Perry and Co., VanPell was a tax manager for Hutchins, Farrell, Meyer & Allison, in Freehold, which merged with the accounting firm of WithumSmith+Brown in 2014. Among other duties at Withum, VanPell reviewed individual, corporate, partnership and estate returns; and assisted with intern training and management during tax season.

VanPell earned his B.A. in accounting from Glassboro State College, now Rowan University, in 1988. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a national organization, and the New Jersey Society of CPAs.

Wendy Walker, Chewsi

Chewsi, a first-of-its-kind service that connects patients directly with dentists for significant savings on dental care, has announced that Wendy Walker has been named general manager, overseeing the New Jersey and Connecticut markets. In her new role, Walker will be responsible for launching Chewsi in both states.

Chewsi will allow patients with or without insurance to realize significant savings on dental procedures, including cosmetic, without paying premiums or monthly fees. Patients will be able to find a Chewsi dentist, know costs before their dental appointment and pay their dentist all through the Chewsi free app.

Walker is the former business capabilities architect at Delta Dental of New Jersey Inc., where she implemented and ensured that strategic corporate goals, and business and technology decisions were met and aligned. Throughout her 26 years as an employee of the Parsippany-based dental benefits provider, Wendy first started as a customer service agent and has held a variety of operations positions.

Joseph Crivelli, Synchronoss

Synchronoss Technologies Inc., a global leader and innovator of cloud, messaging, digital and IoT products and platforms, announced it has appointed Joseph Crivelli as vice president, investor relations. Crivelli will bring 22 years of industry experience to the role, as Synchronoss underlines its commitment to delivering shareholder value to new and existing investors.

“Joe joins our team as a seasoned IR veteran with significant accomplishments,” said David Clark, chief financial officer, Synchronoss. “He brings a broad range of industry experience and expertise, and we are thrilled to welcome him to our organization as we look to maximize shareholder value and deliver our next stage of growth.”

Goldberg Segalla

Goldberg Segalla welcomes partners Thomas M. Crino, Peter H. Bach and Jonathan L. Berkowitz to its Princeton office, and associate Paula Stefanou to its Newark office. Joining the firm’s Trucking, Management and Professional Liability, Health Care and Long-Term Care, General Liability, and Workers’ Compensation practices, respectively, these attorneys significantly increase the firm’s ability to serve new and existing clients across the state and beyond.

Crino, previously with Wildenhain Crino P.C. in Warren, joins the firm’s Trucking Practice Group. Bach, previously with Campbell, Lipski & Dochney in Philadelphia, joins the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group. Berkowitz, previously with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP in New York City, joins the Management and Professional Liability, Health Care, Long-Term Care, General Liability, and Trucking Practice Groups. Stefanou, previously with Viscomi & Lyons in Morristown, joins the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group.

Lakeland Bank

Lakeland Bank is pleased to announce that Max Custer, vice president, commercial loan officer, and Robert Surovich, vice president, commercial loan officer, recently received the NJ Bankers Emerging Leader Rising Star Award. Custer and Surovich were selected by NJ Bankers independent judges to receive this award for exhibiting the characteristics of true leaders.

Custer joined Lakeland Bank full-time in 2011 as a junior credit analyst, advancing his career to his current position. Surovich joined Lakeland Bank in 2012 as a senior credit analyst.

Jennifer Rothschild, R&J Strategic Communications

R&J Strategic Communications, a full-service integrated marketing and public relations agency, is announcing the promotion of Jennifer Rothschild to senior graphic designer.

In her new role at R&J, Rothschild will be responsible for designing and developing successful marketing collateral across print, web and new media platforms for R&J and its clients. She will continue to contribute her expertise to the creative team by producing high-quality visual communications content tailored to the needs of the clients’ strategic goals. In addition to helping steer the direction of the growing creative team, Rothschild will also take on greater client service responsibilities, leading several long-time trusted accounts.
