Fitness resort to open in Bridgewater, bringing 425 jobs to region; hiring event is Saturday

Life Time, a country club-style fitness resort, is holding a hiring event Saturday in anticipation of the summer opening of its newest New Jersey location, in Bridgewater. The opening of the club could add 100 full-time jobs to the region and some 425 jobs overall, including part-time and seasonal positions, Life Time told ROI-NJ.

The hiring event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bridgewater Marriott, 700 Commons Way, Bridgewater. The new Life Time property — located in the Somerset Corporate Center — will be the sixth in the state for the Minnesota-based company, which has more than 140 locations in the U.S. and Canada.

“We are excited to continue expanding Life Time’s presence in the state of New Jersey with the opening of a new club this summer,” General Manager Ashley Sikora said in a prepared statement. “The Somerset County community will now have the opportunity to experience Life Time’s true healthy way of life approach with services and programming designed to create individualized wellness experiences.”

Once opened, the Life Time Athletic Bridgewater facility will offer activities such as aquatics, yoga, weight-lifting and personal training, and will include features such as the LifeSpa, LifeCafe, Kids Academy and more.

Jobs will be available in fields ranging from salon stylists to martial arts instructors to member services specialists and even chiropractors and physical therapists. The facility will employ 100 full-time, 200 part-time and 125 seasonal workers, Life Time said. Most departments have both full- and part-time openings.

“Our hiring event is a great way for us to find enthusiastic professionals who are passionate about health, fitness and being part of a team that is dedicated to inspiring others who want to live well-rounded, healthy lifestyles,” Sikora said. “The success of Life Time is due to the high caliber of our staff.”
