Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, Realtors

Jeff Crisalli, sales leader of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, Realtors Brick Office, welcomes Brian Duarte as a sales associate. Licensed since 2018, Duarte was formerly with Crossroads Realty.

He serves Southern Monmouth and Northern Ocean counties, and he resides in Ocean with his daughter.

Donna Fernandez, sales leader of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, Realtors Spring Lake Office, welcomes Laura McGlynn as a sales associate.

McGlynn brings diverse professional experience to her role at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, having served as an art director at a leading NYC advertising agency and as a floral designer and customer service specialist in the Jersey Shore area.

Marc Demetriou, Guaranteed Rate

Guaranteed Rate, one of the largest retail mortgage lenders in the country, announced the opening of a new branch in Montville, naming Marc Demetriou as the location’s branch manager.

Located at 350 Main Road, Suite 203, the new branch expands Guaranteed Rate’s presence in New Jersey, which includes locations in Lakewood, Hoboken and Parsippany.

“I am thrilled to be overseeing Guaranteed Rate’s new branch in Montville,” said Demetriou who joined Guaranteed Rate as a senior vice president of mortgage lending in January. “As a Montville resident, I look forward to not only serving its community of borrowers but also being a lending resource to the accountants, attorneys, financial planners and real estate agents throughout New Jersey as well as the 10 other states I’m licensed in.”

Mercer County Community College

Mercer County Community College swore in its foundation board of directors for the fiscal year 2020-21 last May, the occasion punctuated by the introduction of Aamir A. Rehman as the board’s newest chairman.

Rehman succeeds former board Chair Lori Danko, who spent the last three years at the foundation’s helm. A board member since 2010, Danko’s relationship with the college spans decades. In addition to serving on a variety of foundation committees, Danko, her husband and son all attended classes at MCCC.

A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School, Rehman earned his Ed.D. from Columbia University Teachers College. In 2018, he became treasurer of the MCCC Foundation board of directors and was named second vice chair in 2019. He and his family reside in West Windsor.

Ramapo College

Ramapo College of New Jersey recently elected new officers to its board of trustees. Susan A. Vallario advanced to the position of chair; Vincent P. Colman advanced to the position of vice chair; Gary L. Montroy advanced to the position of treasurer; Sharlene S. Vichness was elected secretary; and Breeanna Douglas was appointed student trustee.

In addition, the College recognized the service and contributions of outgoing Chair William F. Dator and outgoing Treasurer David G. Schlussel.

“The College is very fortunate to have a board of trustees whose members are actively engaged in discharging their important governance responsibilities while providing wise counsel and unstinting support to me and to the entire administration,” said Ramapo President Peter P. Mercer. “They play a central role in advancing the college mission and I look forward to continuing to work with them closely to meet the challenges that must be confronted in order to continue to provide our students with the best possible education.”

Amanda Shymanski, QuickChek

Amanda Shymanski, QuickChek Corp.’s senior category manager, has been named one of the “Future Leaders in Convenience” by Convenience Store News magazine.

Now in its third year, the award recognizes young c-store retail executives under the age of 35 who are already demonstrating they possess the traits of great leaders and are poised to be at the forefront of the $648 billion c-store industry’s future. This year’s 20 honorees range from a company president to chief financial officer to category managers, marketing and human resource experts.

Shymanski is responsible for managing the fresh convenience chain’s award-winning sandwich category and overseeing the salad, soup, and grab & go categories for QuickChek’s 160 retail store locations throughout New Jersey, New York’s Hudson Valley and Long Island.

Dr. Robert R. Ford, Bioclinica

Bioclinica, an integrated solutions provider of clinical life science and technology expertise, delivering powerful insight into clinical trial development in bringing new therapies to people worldwide, today announced that Dr. Robert R. Ford will join the staff as senior advisor, chief medical officer emeritus.

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Ford join Bioclinica in this adviser role,” said Euan Menzies, chairman and CEO. “He is a recognized expert within the industry and will continue to be a valuable resource, exclusively, for our clients and medical staff.”

Jeffrey Holt, Sax LLP

Top 100 accounting, tax and business advisory leader, Sax LLP, has announced the addition of Jeffrey Holt, CPA, to the firm’s established management team as partner in the Accounting & Auditing Department and head of quality control.

Holt brings over 23 years of experience in public accounting, auditing and advisory services, and specializes in audits, reviews and compilations for closely held businesses in a multitude of industries, in addition to audits for not-for-profit organizations and employee benefit plans. In his capacity as head of quality control, Holt will monitor Sax’s compliance with professional standards for conducting high-quality audits with competence, integrity, objectivity and independence.

Christopher Lamitola, Specialty Program Group

Specialty Program Group LLC, a leading operator of specialty insurance brokerages and underwriting facilities, announced that Christopher Lamitola has joined as chief sales officer. In this capacity, Lamitola will provide strategic sales and marketing guidance to acquired business partners.

Chris fills the role currently held by Yiana Stavrakis, SPG’s chief sales officer. Stavrakis is transitioning within SPG to become president, Monarch E&S Insurance Services. Monarch is an MGA and wholesale brokerage firm offering commercial insurance, professional insurance, personal insurance, special risk and brokerage solutions. The company was formed in 1986 and acquired by SPG in 2017.
