Florham Park-based Conduent’s Conduent Transportation unit has been selected for a $51 million contract to operate and maintain toll lanes along Interstate 64 in Virginia.
The Virginia Department of Transportation selected Conduent to design, implement and operate express tolling lanes in the Hampton Roads region, Conduent said in a statement.
Conduent will operate and maintain multiple tolling zones of the I-64 Express Lanes network after a 16-month implementation period, the firm said. The lanes and system are expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
The $51 million contract includes a three-year base term plus a total of nine one-year options.
