Bleimann-Boucard elevated to CEO at Berjé, to succeed her father

Gillian Bleimann-Boucard will succeed her father, Kim Bleimann, as CEO of Berjé Inc., effective immediately, the Carteret-based company announced Monday.

Kim Bleimann will continue as chairman of the board of directors of Berjé, a global leader and distributor of essential oils and aromatic chemicals. He will be taking a greater role in the continued expansion and growing the operations of Berjé Europe, which includes the distillation facility, Berjé Trakia.

Bleimann-Boucard joined Berjé in 2007 and previously held the position of executive vice president. Over the past 15 years, she has touched every aspect of the company. Through her leadership, she has helped to position the company as a global leader with her unique understanding of Berjé’s marketplace.

In her new role, Bleimann-Boucard will look to lead the more than 70-year-old family business into its third generation, focusing on growth, sustainability and continued quality stewardship and innovation.

In her previous role as executive vice president of Berjé and while also the president of the Berjé Group’s Whole Herb Co., Bleimann-Boucard has spearheaded several successful initiatives and innovations across the Berjé enterprise over the past four years, including expanding and restructuring the company’s purchasing department, negotiating several international distribution partnerships and conducting a review and refocus of the company’s strategic goals.

“Going into our 75th year, the Berjé Group remains committed to our values of Integrity, Industry Leadership, Legacy, Passion, Accountability and Diversity,” said Bleimann-Boucard. “My vision is to maintain and grow our global leadership position, building upon our trusted personalized service and our diverse range of fragrance & flavor ingredients, botanicals and fragrances from our unparalleled inventory. And we are relentlessly committed to our clients and ethically and sustainably sourcing ingredients from our processing facilities and global producing partners.”
