Luxury nail salon lease brings Chatham Plaza to full occupancy

Joinus Nails to open 2nd location at Levin-managed shopping center

The addition of Joinus Nails at Chatham Plaza will bring the 31,500-square-foot Morris County shopping center to full occupancy, according to a Thursday announcement from Levin Management Corp.

LMC serves as leasing and managing agent for Chatham Plaza, located on Main Street in Chatham. The commercial real estate services firm’s Kendal Hand-Freda, leasing representative, arranged the 1,600-square-foot lease. The location marks the second area salon for this experienced operator, who has owned Joinus Nails in Summit for 15 years.

“This business owner is excited to expand her local presence with a brand-new, state-of-the-art salon at Chatham Plaza,” Hand-Freda said. “We are thrilled to accommodate Joinus Nails’ space needs while bringing another high-quality addition to the community. Local residents have long appreciated the presence of a nail salon at Chatham Plaza, and we expect this tenant to enjoy tremendous success here.”

Joinus Nails will occupy space that formerly housed another nail salon for 30 years; the interior will be fully renovated to create a modern, luxury experience for guests. The salon anticipates a spring 2022 opening. Chatham Plaza also recently welcomed locally owned Italian restaurant/pizzeria the Shop, which is now open for business at the property.

Anchored by a 14,200-square-foot CVS Pharmacy, Chatham Plaza’s tenant mix includes Blue Foundry Bank, C2 Education tutoring center and JAG-One Physical Therapy, along with typical neighborhood conveniences such as a bagel shop and a dry cleaner. Located near Chatham’s thriving downtown, Chatham Plaza serves a growing residential population of nearly 67,000 people within a three-mile radius, with an average household income of $245,000 within those same three miles.
