Crest Pointe in Point Pleasant celebrates completion of $3M renovation

Dignitaries and health care colleagues join in ribbon-cutting event at Point Pleasant skilled nursing facility

Leadership of Crest Pointe Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center and Marquis Health Consulting Services recently celebrated the completion of a $3 million renovation and modernization. An early-spring, invitation-only event brought together dignitaries, community leaders, care team members and health care colleagues at the Point Pleasant skilled nursing facility.

“Crest Pointe has been completely transformed into a modern, home-like environment for residents — one that accommodates progressive skilled nursing care and services,” said Pam Montemurno, regional director of market development for Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports the facility and spearheaded the renovation. “The entire teams at Crest Pointe and Marquis are thrilled with the results.”

The centerpiece of the multimillion-dollar renovation was the addition of a 3,000-square-foot rehab therapy gym and the incorporation of a spacious activities of daily living, or ADL, suite. The gym features state-of-the-art equipment, including technology to support the delivery of progressive rehab services, such as a smart car to help patients simulate actual daily living skills during the rehabilitation process. In addition, the ADL suite mimics a home environment — enabling patients the opportunity to regain skills before returning home.

Renovation highlights also include a lobby/reception area redesign and expansion, reconfigured and updated dining area and lounges, as well as updates to resident rooms.

“The open lobby has such an inviting feel — it welcomes you right in — and the lounge areas are comfy and home-like for residents and families to gather,” added Montemurno.

Crest Pointe’s new design capitalizes on the facility’s abundant natural light and bright open spaces; artwork is an important design element, as well, with abstract pieces that are visual and graphic. The facility’s elegant and classic design aesthetic, featuring a strong color palette with blues and teals, illuminates the décor, aligning with Crest Pointe’s scenic location near the Point Pleasant Canal.

During the renovation process, Crest Pointe and Marquis also enhanced the facility’s specialized programming in partnership with leading regional health care providers. Physician-led offerings include focused physiatry, cardiopulmonary care and chronic kidney disease management programs, among others.

Located at 1515 Hulse Road, Crest Pointe provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care; it maintains five-star overall quality and five-star quality measures ratings from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Based in Brick, Marquis Health Consulting Services is a highly skilled and vision-driven nursing home consulting company currently supporting mid-Atlantic and New England facilities totaling approximately 6,000 skilled nursing and assisted living beds.
