Rochelle Park investment bank appoints Tiernan as principal to expand scope in technology, media and telecom

Rochelle Park-based The DAK Group, a boutique investment bank specializing in serving the M & A needs of middle market companies, last week announced the appointment of Ben Tiernan as Principal.

Tiernan brings over two decades of experience in the technology, media and telecom space. His hands-on experience and in depth understanding in these industries provides clients with an additional edge during the transaction and negotiation process.

“With technology and media being some of the frothiest industries for middle market M & A today, we are thrilled that Ben has joined us. His reputation for delivering excellence to clients combined with his global network will be valuable assets benefiting DAK’s clientele” said Alan Scharfstein, CEO and president of The DAK Group.

Tiernan’s skills were honed as an advisor, owner and operator of entrepreneurial businesses in the advertising and marketing technology sector and most recently as managing partner at Sepulveda Partners a consulting and advisory firm servicing media and technology companies.

Prior to Sepulveda Partners, Tiernan was a senior director of Strategy at Hearts & Science an Omnicom Company. He was the co-founder of ONE/x, a digital advertising firm, which later became AUDIENCE/X through merger and today is the largest programmatic service solution for small to mid-sized businesses. Tiernan holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
