Diversified and Fidelco celebrate completion of Union’s newest luxury multifamily community

Executives from Diversified Properties and Fidelco Realty Group were joined by Union Mayor Manuel Figueiredo, state Sen. Joseph Cryan and local officials recently to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for Phase Two of Summit Court, Union’s newest luxury multifamily community.

The event marked the completion of the final phase of construction at the 396-unit community located at 1776 Patriot Way less than a mile from Kean University, the burgeoning Morris Avenue corridor and the Union New Jersey Transit Station.

“We have had this date circled on our calendars since completing Phase One for Summit Court,” Nicholas Minoia, founding and managing partner of Diversified Properties, said. “While we didn’t foresee a global pandemic, our experience, our partnership with Fidelco Realty Group and our close collaboration with Union Township provided us with the tools to navigate and overcome many obstacles created by COVID-19. We are honored to celebrate today with everyone who helped us bring this one-of-a-kind community to life.”

Marc Berson, chairman of Fidelco Realty Group, added: “This isn’t just another apartment complex — Fidelco and Diversified partnered to bring a new, upscale community to Union. The location, build quality and amenities make these homes perfect for individuals, professionals and families who value convenience and comfort. With easy access to the Union train station and Kean University, Summit Court promises to be a wonderful place for our new tenants to call home.”

Designed around creating an upscale residential experience, each of Summit Court’s one- and two-bedroom residences offer the latest features in modern apartment living, including dramatic 9-foot ceilings, private balconies, sleek kitchens with quartz countertops, Whirlpool stainless steel appliances, in-home washers and dryers, oversized showers with floor-to-ceiling tile and wood-inspired plank flooring.

Beyond residents’ homes, the community also offers a full resort-style amenity package. Its outdoor amenities are highlighted by a pool and sundeck surrounded by barbecue and dining areas as well as firepits and lounge seating. Inside each building, residents can enjoy a fitness center featuring Peloton exercise bikes and a cardio and strength center. The community clubhouse also boasts a Wi-Fi lounge with a gaming area; a pet spa; and a resident lounge with a catering kitchen.

Summit Court’s amenity offerings and luxuriously appointed residential units are further enhanced by the community’s walkability to the Union NJ Transit Station with direct access to Midtown Manhattan, as well as Kean University. The location also affords easy access to the Garden State Parkway, Interstate 78 and Route 22, as well as Newark Liberty International Airport.

Construction for the project was managed by Morris Construction Management, Diversified Properties’ affiliated construction management firm.
