Marlton-based Surety Title Co., a title insurance agency serving residential and commercial clients in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and nationally, on Thursday said it welcomed Jonathan Friedman as its director of commercial operations & counsel.
A New Jersey licensed attorney and title producer, Friedman brings over 17 years of experience in both the legal and title insurance industries and is well-versed in underwriting complex commercial transactions. His industry knowledge is matched with a creative, customer-focused approach, recognizing that no two transactions are the same and working hand-in-hand with clients, partners and team members is the key to finding the best-suited solutions.
Friedman will be based in Marlton and oversee Surety’s Commercial Department, which handles title search, insurance and settlement services.
Prior to joining Surety, Friedman served as New Jersey state counsel for First American Title Insurance Co., where he provided underwriting guidance and solutions to title agents handling residential and commercial transactions in New Jersey.
During his tenure, he was a member of First American’s 2018 Excellence in Underwriting Program, led as an instructor for the company’s Bridge Underwriting Program and received the 2022 MVP Award for Underwriting in recognition of his ability to creatively solve complex title issues.
