PEEK Properties offers leasing incentives to educators, first responders and health care professionals in Orange

Educators, nursing professionals and first responders at the Hightland, in Orange, can take advantage of leasing incentives thanks to PEEK Properties‘ Good Neighbor Program.

Among the incentives, PEEK is offering two months rent-free with an 18-month lease or a 12-month lease with the security deposit insurance paid by PEEK for up to two years. In addition, PEEK is providing one-year Netflix or Hulu subscriptions for featured units.

Located at 416 Highland Ave. in the southwest section of the city, the Highland is a newly constructed 138-unit, five-story upscale apartment building that is the company’s latest luxury addition to the Orange’s apartment-rental housing stock, which also includes PEEK’s Orange Crossing redevelopment downtown.

Situated at the Orange-West Orange boundary and a five-minute walk to New Jersey Transit’s Highland Station, the Highland features a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom open-concept layouts ranging from 533 square feet to 1,163 square feet. Apartments feature vaulted ceilings, a balcony or patio, vinyl flooring and in-unit washer/dryer. Island kitchen finishes include white-washed cabinetry, a pantry, white subway-tile backsplash and quartz countertops with a stainless-steel appliance package with a dishwasher and a microwave.

“At PEEK, we understand the vital role these professionals play in our communities and the challenges they face when it comes to finding high-quality housing that is affordable and offers proximity to their places of work,” Darla Rodriguez, director of property management, said. “As Good Neighbors, we believe that, through these incentives, we can help our teachers, nurses, police officers, fire fighters and EMTs live comfortably and safely in the community or near the communities in which they dedicate themselves to helping others, from the very young to the elderly.”

To be eligible, applicants must provide proof of certification and employment at a state-accredited school, health care facility or first responder employer. Those employed in Orange are given priority. Interested individuals can now arrange private tours by appointment.
