Morristown-based collaborative underwriting insurance carrier Emerald Bay Risk Solutions has acquired Florida-based Mainsail Insurance Co., it announced last week.
The acquisition will expand Emerald Bay’s tailored insurance solutions to help it write business in national admitted markets.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mainsail provides property & casualty coverage across 17 lines of insurance. It will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Emerald Bay.
“We’re pleased to announce the acquisition of Mainsail, which will be additive to Emerald Bay’s collaborative, tech-enabled underwriting approach,” Emerald Bay co-founder and CEO Dave Ingrey said in a prepared statement.
