Palace at Somerset Park readies for 20th anniversary with $10M renovation

Premier wedding and events venue to enhance existing space and add new outdoor pavilion

From its grand East House to the sophisticated West House, the Palace at Somerset Park will undergo a $10 million, multiphase renovation in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The project will be led again by Iron Hill Construction Management, the firm that built the venue in 2004.

Located at 333 Davidson Ave. in Somerset, the tri-state area’s premier event space for indoor and outdoor weddings and corporate events is going to begin a series of renovations and enhancements.

One of the most exciting aspects of the project is the expansion of the cocktail hour spaces. The Palace will including new outdoor pavilions that seamlessly connect the cocktail bar with the venue’s natural outdoor setting.

The East Grand Foyer and East House will welcome guests with updates that include new carpets, wall coverings, exquisite millwork and sophisticated lighting. Its East Ballroom will shine with soft, neutral decor, drapes and modern chandeliers, while the East Library will become a trendy cocktail hour spot with a sleek bar and contemporary art. Finally, the East House’s Versailles Wedding Suite will transform into a luxurious pre-wedding sanctuary.

The Palace at Somerset Park’s West House upgrades will consist of a contemporary makeover, featuring new furnishings, carpets and sparkling chandeliers. Its West Library will transform into an intimate, modern bar area, perfect for enjoying drinks in a classy, laid-back setting. The West House will also unveil a brand-new groom suite equipped with leisure amenities like a pool table, providing an ideal pre-ceremony retreat.

“We are thrilled to announce this significant renovation as we celebrate our 20th anniversary,” Marc Hamel, president and general manager, the Palace at Somerset Park, said. “With incredible feedback that’s already translated into increased demand for the coming year, these enhancements elevate the guest experience even further by seamlessly blending modern amenities with the classic ambiance for which our venue is renowned.

“We are particularly excited to collaborate once again with the original construction team, ensuring the project remains true to our vision. The new outdoor pavilion and chic renovations to both the East and West Houses will usher in a new era for the Palace at Somerset Park, offering our guests even more beautiful and functional spaces to create unforgettable memories.”
