The Gyro Project opens at the Junction at Gateway Center in Newark

The Gyro Project officially celebrated its grand opening at the Junction at Gateway Center. This esteemed addition to what’s become known as “Newark’s new restaurant row” is celebrated for its exceptional Greek cuisine.

Following its successful debut in Fort Lee in 2023, this new location at The Junction will cater to both office and fast-casual takeout customers, enhancing the dining options available to Gateway Center’s office tenants and the broader Newark community.

The Greek restaurant offers a modern, street food style menu featuring gyro platters, souvlaki, Greek-style lamb chops, moussaka, house-stacked meats, imported olive oils and more.

In addition to its extensive dining menu, The Gyro Project will also offer a curated catering menu tailored for the in-office workplace.

“For us, Gateway and The Junction will always be about improving the experience of both working and living in Newark,” Jon Schultz, co-founder and managing principal of Onyx Equities, said. “With the exciting addition of The Gyro Project, we are continuing to add to the elevated experience of the new Gateway Center.”

The Gyro Project is part of the ST Management Group, which boasts an impressive portfolio of successful restaurants known for their quality and innovation, including Café Metro, Metro Catering and Events, Cambridge Catering, and fresh&co®, an already a well-established customer-favorite at The Junction.

Under the leadership of George Tenedios, ST Management Group has cultivated a reputation for creating vibrant dining experiences that resonate with local communities.

“When searching for the second location of The Gyro Project, The Junction immediately stood out as the perfect fit for us,” Tenedios said. “This beautifully designed space attracts Gateway office tenants, as well as commuters and members of the grander Newark community. We invite everyone to join us and experience our modern take on what Greek food is all about.”
