Pascack Valley Medical Center announced that Dr. Sruti Patel has joined its surgical team. Dr. Patel is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, bringing extensive surgical experience and expertise to the Pascack Valley community.
She is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care, with a focus on hernia repair, gallbladder conditions and the evaluation of symptoms related to gallstones. Dr. Patel’s care philosophy emphasizes combining advanced surgical techniques with a patient-focused approach to achieve the best outcomes.
Her warm and approachable demeanor allows her to build strong, trusting relationships with patients, fostering collaboration and confidence through the care process. She now performs nearly all procedures using robotic-assisted surgery, a technology she embraces for its ability to enhance precision, reduce recovery time and improve overall patient outcomes.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Patel earned her undergraduate degree in biochemistry and economics from New York University before earning her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She completed her general surgery residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University and went on to complete a surgical critical care fellowship at Stony Brook University Hospital.
Her extensive training and hands-on experience enable her to provide highly skilled, compassionate care for every patient she treats.
