The New Jersey Bankers Association (NJBankers), in conjunction with the George Dean Callas Family, announced that Julie Olters of Point Pleasant is the recipient of the 6th Annual Constantine G. Callas Progressive Educational & Work Ethic Memorial Scholarship. Olters is a marketing and communications coordinator at Manasquan Bank.
Retired NJBankers associate member George Callas is sponsoring the scholarship in memory of his beloved father, who was known for his entrepreneurial spirit and belief in making a better life through education.
The $2,000 scholarship was open to all employees of New Jersey financial institutions who are committed to continuing education in the field of finance and whose financial institution is a member of the New Jersey Bankers Association.
“I am pleased to announce that I have chosen Julie Olters as the recipient of this year’s Constantine G. Callas Progressive Educational & Work Ethic Memorial Scholarship,” said Callas.
“Julie demonstrates maturity, attention to detail, focus and professional determination, which is how she approaches her career and desire to progress within her employment at Manasquan Bank. I am confident she will reach her goals and effectively use the resources available to her to meet her objectives and be a major contributor to the growth of the bank.”
Since joining Manasquan Bank in 2019, Olters has built her career within the human resources team and is transitioning into the role of marketing & communications coordinator. She earned her B.A. from Rowan University and is on track to complete her M.A. in organizational leadership at Rider University in December 2025.
Olters is also a 2023 NJBankers Rising Star Award recipient and holds the Certified Professional designation from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
“This award is a reminder that every step forward, no matter how small, is worth it, and that believing in yourself can open doors you never expected,” said Olters.
