Accounting firm DLA announces group of job promotions

Six employees at DLA will start the new year with a new position following the Fairfield accounting firm’s announcement of a series of promotions effective Jan. 1.

The firm says that recognizing colleagues whose leadership, performance, and continued professional growth demonstrates DLA’s commitment to developing talent from within the company.

Joseph “Joe” Bakutes has been promoted to partner within the accounting advisory practice. The promotion reflects his leadership, strong client relationships and dedication to expanding the firm’s accounting advisory capabilities. DLA said Bakutes has played a critical role in developing talent, driving strategic growth initiatives, and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.

Spencer Heuman-Gutman has been elevated to managing director, corporate development. Heuman-Gutman’s promotion acknowledges his strategic leadership and significant contributions to firmwide growth initiatives. DLA said his work has been instrumental in advancing the firm’s long-term vision, and he will continue to play a key role at the firm’s senior leadership level.

Kristan Lorusso has been promoted to director in the forensic valuation and litigation support group. DLA said her promotion recognizes her deep technical expertise, leadership in complex engagements, and consistent commitment to mentoring and developing colleagues.

Harrison “Harry” Illes has been promoted to senior within the forensic valuation and litigation support group. This promotion reflects his strong technical development, growing responsibility across forensic accounting and litigation support engagements, and continued commitment to professional growth.

Arunima Dwivedi has been elevated to senior within the IT advisory practice. Her promotion reflects her strong technical expertise, reliability, and consistent execution across client engagements, as well as her contributions to the continued expansion of the IT advisory group.

Joseph “JP” Winkle has been promoted to senior in the internal audit practice. This advancement recognizes his consistent delivery of high-quality work, continued technical development, and strong client service, as he takes on increasing responsibility within the group.

DLA is an accounting advisory firm that provides a range of accounting, IT and litigation support services to the C-suite and law firms. The firm specializes in internal audit, technical accounting, accounting outsourcing, operational and organizational improvement within the accounting function, IT advisory services, forensic accounting and litigation support.
