Valley Medical Group announced Feb. 18 that Dr. Tamar Zapolanski was appointed director of dermatology.
Zapolanski is a board-certified dermatologist with a focus on general medical and surgical dermatology. She specializes in inflammatory skin conditions, skin cancer screening and treatment, acne, rosacea, eczema, skin rashes and infections, and treatment of benign growths.
“Dr. Zapolanski has been a valued member of Valley Medical Group for more than 12 years,” said Dr. Joseph Mathew, chair of medical specialties for Valley Medical Group. “She brings deep institutional knowledge, a strong clinical foundation, and a long-standing commitment to patient-centered care to this role.”
As director, Zapolanski will provide clinical and strategic leadership for the dermatology service line, with a focus on optimizing access and driving continued program growth across Valley Medical Group and Valley Health System.
“I look forward to ensuring our department continues to provide our community with access to high-quality dermatologic care while also growing so that we can expand our services and reach more patients,” said Zapolanski. “We will continue to collaborate with other Valley Medical Group services to build a strong, interdisciplinary experience for those seeking care at Valley.”
