Newark Beth Israel Medical Center’s new community room will be named the “Giantomasi Family Community Room,” in honor of the family’s ongoing commitment to the organization.
Frank Giantomasi, a well-known and highly respected real estate lawyer who has worked in Newark for decades, serves as the chair of the board of trustees of Newark Beth Israel.
His family dedicated $200,000 to the creation of the new community room as part of the medical center’s historic Newark Strong project, a renovation that includes a new 17,500-square-foot glass-enclosed lobby, expanded adult and pediatric emergency departments, a new critical care unit, hybrid operating rooms and a new geriatric unit.
The Giantomasi Family Community Room will be an 800-square-foot meeting space, located on the upper level of the new lobby.
The space will be glass-enclosed, overlooking Lyons Avenue, and will include a 113-inch drop-down screen with HD LCD projector, recessed ceiling speakers and a modern audio/visual system including in-room cameras to facilitate state-of-the-art video conferencing.
Newark Beth CEO Darrell Terry saluted Giantomasi, a name partner and an Executive Committee member of Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi.

Giantomasi said he was happy to be able to give back a community that has given so much to him.
