Morrow joins A.Y. Strauss as partner in commercial real estate group

A.Y. Strauss, a leading boutique law firm focused on commercial transactions and litigation in the areas of commercial real estate, franchise law, construction contracting and corporate bankruptcy, is pleased to announce that Michael Morrow has joined as a partner in the firm’s Commercial Real Estate Group.

For the past 14 years, Morrow has represented clients in the purchase, sale, disposition and development of hotels, solar farms, office centers, warehouses and retail centers. His experience also includes handling commercial lease drafting and negotiations and loan workouts. He also has represented New Jersey, New York and Delaware business entities and trustees throughout the bankruptcy process.

Aaron Y. Strauss, the firm’s managing partner, welcomed Morrow to the team.

About A.Y. Strauss

A.Y. Strauss provides legal counsel for commercial transactions and litigation in the areas of commercial real estate, construction contracting, bankruptcy and franchising law. With the intellectual depth of a large firm and the personalized touch of a boutique, the firm’s lawyers represent emerging businesses, institutional clients and high net worth individuals, in domestic and international matters.

The dynamic culture and collaborative working environment at the firm provides a healthy work-life balance for its team members, with a focus on giving back to the communities the firm serves. A.Y. Strauss has offices in Roseland and New York City.

“Michael’s range of transactional, lending, and corporate bankruptcy experience is a welcome addition to practice areas in which we’re seeing client demand,” he said.

Prior to joining A.Y. Strauss, Michael was a partner in the Princeton office of Hill Wallach, representing national and community banks and private lenders in secured lending transactions, loan modifications and restructurings.  Prior to this role, he served as an associate handling bankruptcy matters at a boutique firm.

Morrow said he was thrilled to be joining A.Y. Strauss.

“The firm has a dynamic real estate practice that I look forward to growing while continuing to represent real estate developers, investors and lenders,” he said. “The firm’s commitment to maintaining and growing relationships aligns with my business philosophy.”

Morrow is a member of the New Jersey and the New York bar associations. He earned a B.A. from Dickinson College and a J.D. from New York Law School. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Southern District of New York.
