Inspira Health receives partnership award from Acenda Institute of Health Innovation

The award honors Inspira for its efforts to lead the community in addressing behavioral health care

Inspira Health on Thursday said it received the 2023 Momentum Award for Partnership from the Acenda Institute of Health Innovation. Launched in 2022, Momentum Awards recognize individuals and organizations who are paving the way for the future of behavioral health care delivery.

Inspira was honored for its exceptional work in engaging local and statewide stakeholders to address the growing behavioral health needs of its community.

Inspira’s financial, logistical and behavioral health support for the M25 Cumberland County Housing First Collaborative has helped provide stable housing to more than 125 previously homeless individuals.

Together with the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office and other community partners, Inspira has supported programs aimed at reducing violence and providing safe and nurturing opportunities for children and young adults. Inspira also worked with the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey to implement a Community Health Worker program in the city of Millville. This program connects local residents with existing community resources that can help them improve their mental health, physical health and overall well-being.

As longtime partners, Inspira and Acenda have worked together on several behavioral health initiatives. A new program that provides support for the direct and indirect victims of violence is underway. In addition to linking individuals and families to high-quality services and resources, the program will also work to prevent future violence.

“Partnership is at the core of the responsibility of nonprofit organizations. How do we come together? What can we do as a team? At Inspira, our long-term partnerships were formed to address the basic needs of food, water and shelter,” Amy Mansue, CEO and president of Inspira Health, said. “These basic needs must be addressed if we are serious about improving the mental and physical health of our neighbors.”

“AIHI is excited to commemorate Inspira Health for their amazing partnership with Acenda and other local and statewide stakeholders with a shared goal of improving overall health for our community members. The Inspira team are the exemplary model of a health system partner that truly understands the larger needs of communities and we look forward to our continued collaboration on moving the behavioral health care system forward,” Dr. Anthony DiFabio, CEO and president of Acenda, said.

“We are honored to be the recipient of Acenda’s 2023 Partnership Award. This recognition is the direct result of the hard work and dedication of our behavioral health team and departments throughout our health system,” Mansue said. We are grateful for the opportunities to expand our work with Acenda, and all of our partners, as we work to improve access to behavioral health services.”
