Caryl Communications’ work supporting longtime client Levin Management’s retail survey earns PRSA award

Hoboken-based agency recognized for work on behalf of longtime client

Hoboken-based public relations and marketing firm Caryl Communications this month received a prestigious Anvil “Award of Excellence” from the Public Relations Society of America. The annual Anvil Awards program recognizes top campaigns on a national level; the Caryl team was honored for its work supporting longtime client Levin Management Corp.’s Retail Sentiment Survey.

“The Anvils are among the most coveted, peer-judged awards in public relations and strategic communications, highlighting the outstanding work being accomplished within our industry,” Caryl Communications’ Sandy Crisafulli, president, stated. “We are proud of this honor but even prouder of our award-winning partnership — nearly 30 years strong — with Levin Management Corp.”

A well-respected commercial real estate services provider with a 125-property, retail-focused leasing and management portfolio, LMC polls the store managers of its 1,000-plus tenants three times annually. Caryl Communications has helped orchestrate LMC’s surveys throughout the program’s 12-year history, including research/planning, execution/analysis, press release development/distribution and media relations.

“The Retail Sentiment Survey is one of our favorite ongoing projects,” Crisafulli said. “It ultimately generates actionable, street-level market intelligence the Levin team can leverage to build relationships, reinforce its brand and share with tenants and prospects. The results draw consistent media interest as well, reflecting this indicator-industry’s performance, and retailers’ outlooks and responses to economic shifts and evolving trends.”

In addition to this year’s Anvil, Caryl Communications’ work with the LMC Retail Sentiment Survey previously earned a PRSA-NJ Pyramid Award. The survey also has been cited as “Best Industry Research” in Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Journal’s annual “Best Of” program.

Celebrating its 75-year anniversary, PRSA is a leading professional organization, serving the communications community through a network of more than 400 professional and student chapters in the U.S., Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Puerto Rico.
