In a continuing effort to find new ways to increase access to care, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center cut the ribbon Friday on a CareRite Now facility at the Inserra Supermarkets ShopRite of Hillsdale.
The opening marks the third CareRite Now center in a grocery store, Bergen New Bridge CEO Deb Visconi said.
“By putting primary care centers in Inserra Supermarkets, and having these centers directly linked to New Jersey’s largest medical center for wraparound and integrated services and care, we have removed another health care barrier and moved a step closer to better population health and community wellness,” she said.
Inserra Supermarkets Chair and CEO Larry Inserra Jr. said his company is thrilled to be a part of the process.
“We are delighted to welcome Bergen New Bridge’s CareRite Now to the ShopRite of Hillsdale,” he said. “CareRite Now will provide the community and our associates convenient access to quality health care right here in our store.”
Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco agreed.
“Today, we are in the ShopRite of Hillsdale, where the newest CareRite Now location will help people by giving them an opportunity to walk in and get the medical care that they need and deserve, provided by the best hospital in the state,” he said. “I want to thank Inserra Supermarkets and the Inserra family, as well as the Bergen New Bridge team, for making this possible.”
CareRite Now welcomes walk-ins in addition to offering scheduled appointments. It accepts self-pay, all major insurance plans, Medicare and Medicaid and has multi-language capabilities.
