Energy & utilities industries well-represented among ROI Influencers: Women in Business honorees

More than a dozen women from across state and various industries were selected

Public Service Electric & Gas President Kim Hanemann always has been clear about one thing: The energy and utility industries will be better with more diversity.

Hanemann certainly is proof of that.

The good news: In New Jersey, diversity is starting to take root.

Hanemann was No. 7 on the ROI Influencers: Women in Business list, a testament to her success during 38 years at the company.

She was joined on the Top 50 list by American Water CEO Susan Hardwick (No. 18) and South Jersey Industries President Melissa Orsen (No. 27) and Board of Public Utilities President Christine Guhl-Sadovy (No. 38).

The better news: Hanemann, Hardwick, Orsen and Guhl-Sadovy were among more than a dozen women in the energy industry who were honored overall.
