AtlantiCare appoints Jordan Ruch as chief information officer

Jordan Ruch, the former chief technology officer for RWJBarnabas Health, has been appointed as chief information officer of AtlantiCare, according to a Tuesday announcement from the southeastern New Jersey health care organization.

Ruch will be charged with leading AtlantiCare’s information technology efforts and advance its digital strategy.

His role in achieving the ambitious goals outlined in AtlantiCare’s VISION 2030 — a six-year strategic plan aimed at transforming health care delivery and outcomes — will be pivotal.

Ruch has more than 20 years of experience as a leader in the field and a proven track record in optimizing organizational structures and digital strategies. He has led billion-dollar enterprisewide health care initiatives, including the only active installation in Epic’s history to go live with a 10 Gold Stars ranking.

Ruch’s expertise spans artificial intelligence and natural language processing development in health care, enterprise IT governance and business transformation.

Among Ruch’s many responsibilities at AtlantiCare will be spearheading innovation and cutting-edge initiatives while supporting critical IT operations and business applications. A key focus will be AtlantiCare Powered by Oracle Health, a strategic priority aimed at advancing AtlantiCare’s digital transformation and enhancing care delivery.

“I am honored to join AtlantiCare at such an exciting and transformative time,” Ruch said. “I look forward to driving innovation, enhancing patient care and leading the IT and digital strategies to achieve VISION 2030.”

Michael Charlton, CEO and president of AtlantiCare, expressed his enthusiasm for Ruch’s appointment, stating: “We’ve set big goals for the organization, and Jordan’s leadership, innovative mindset and deep experience in health care technology will be instrumental in propelling AtlantiCare forward. I am confident that, under Jordan’s leadership, we will enhance both our operational capabilities and patient care delivery — setting a new standard in excellence.”
