Dickerson promoted at R&J Communications

Bridgewater firm also announces additions of Martin, Hopper

Heather Dickerson has been promoted to account executive at R&J Strategic Communications, the Bridgewater-based full-service integrated marketing and public relations agency announced Monday.

The firm also announced the hiring of Hayley Martin as digital account coordinator and Ben Hopper as public relations account coordinator.

Hayley Martin.

In her new position, Dickerson will be responsible for planning and executing integrated communications strategies for the agency’s health care and human services division and continuing to bolster the agency’s media relations capabilities.

Dickerson’s expertise in media relations has played a vital role in establishing meaningful relationships between journalists and R&J’s clients, helping to increase brand awareness and maintain authority in the health and human services sectors.

Her work has garnered coverage in top national, regional and local media outlets connecting individuals to services and support programs for mental health, substance use disorder, domestic violence resources and health and wellness.

A New Providence resident, Dickerson has a B.A. in public relations and a minor in fashion merchandising from Montclair State University.

“Heather’s promotion and the additions of Hayley and Ben to full-time roles is a testament to the value they each bring to our agency and our clients,” Executive Vice President Tiffany Miller said. “At R&J, we’re committed to providing our team members with individual paths for continued professional growth and success; Heather, Hayley and Ben are great examples of that commitment in action. We look forward to their continued contributions as we expand our integrated digital marketing capabilities and footprint in the health and human services sector.”

Martin, as digital account coordinator, will employ her skill set, encompassing organic social media management, social listening and content calendar creation to enhance clients’ social media presence and expand their following.

Proficient across multiple social platforms, she closely collaborates with clients and colleagues, playing a crucial role in the successful execution of social media strategies and campaigns. Martin previously held the position of social media intern at R&J.

Ben Hopper.

A Manalapan resident, Martin holds a B.A. in communication and media studies from The College of New Jersey.

Hopper, in his new role as an account coordinator, will leverage his versatile skills in media relations, content creation, research, writing and editing for health care and human services clients. Able to write in different styles and voices, Hopper creates content to accommodate each client’s unique needs.

Since joining R&J in March 2023 as a public relations intern, Hopper has become integral to the team, showcasing his thorough research, precise writing, fine eye for editing and media relations skills, securing numerous interviews for clients, positioning them as thought leaders.

A Colonia resident, Hopper graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in communication arts with a concentration in writing and a minor in English from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
