CCNJ board appoints Hollender and McCabe as associate member representatives

At its recent meeting, the Chemistry Council of New Jersey (CCNJ) Board of Trustees unanimously appointed Rebecca Hollender, practice leader with TRC, and Carol McCabe, managing partner of Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, to serve a two-year term on the Board as representatives of its associate member companies starting in September.

Membership on CCNJ’s Board was initially limited to Regular Member companies (chemistry industry manufacturers). In 2019, the by-laws were updated to include two representatives from associate member companies (service providers like law firms and engineering firms) for a two-year term.

“We have an engaged membership, and that is true of our Board members. The Nominating Committee fully endorsed the appointment of these two individuals, and I look forward to working with them in their new capacity. Our Council will only benefit from their insight and participation,” Dennis Hart, board secretary and executive director of the Chemistry Council of New Jersey, said.

In her role with TRC, Hollender directs LSRP Services and has over 32 years of experience. Certified as a Professional Geologist and Licensed Site Remediation Professional, she oversees TRC’s LSRPs and specializes in soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion remediation across various sectors. Hollender has managed numerous investigations addressing contaminants and has extensive experience with site requirements, providing litigation support and expert reports.

McCabe specializes in complex industrial and regulatory matters at her firm. She counsels clients on environmental issues, including permitting, compliance, and enforcement related to air emissions, storage tanks, stormwater, wastewater, and waste management. She has represented clients before various regulatory bodies, including the Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Recognized by Chambers USA and Best Lawyers®, McCabe has been a leading figure in environmental law since 2011. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council and is active in community and volunteer work.

The new Board members replace Susan Angyal, regional CEO of North America, ERM, and Christopher Gibson, president, Archer Law, whose terms end in September 2024.
