Stephen Izzi Trucking has signed a 158,641-square-foot lease expansion at 60 Leonard Street in Metuchen, according to an announcement on Monday from Bussel Realty Corp.

The deal brings the industrial property to 100 percent occupancy. BRC originally leased 62,802 square feet at the property on behalf of the logistics firm in 2022.

“We are excited to expand and extend Stephen Izzi Trucking into the full building at 60 Leonard Street,” Tyler Baker, vice president of Seagis Property Group said “David Izzi and Greg of Bussel Realty Corp were both a pleasure to work with and we look forward to the long-term relationship.”

Gregory Irving, executive vice president of BRC represented Stephen Izzi Trucking, in the transaction. Irving has been representing the trucking firm’s real estate requirements for over 30 years. The landlord, Seagis Property Group, was represented by Steve Bussel, president of BRC, who sold the property to Seagis in 2022.

“It was a pleasure to represent Stephen Izzi Trucking, a long-time client of BRC and work with Seagis Property Group, in bringing this deal to closure,” Irving said. “Seagis is one of the finest landlords in New Jersey and the property was ideal for my client’s growing business and expansion plans in the State.”
