“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Rao to our exceptional radiation oncology team,” said Dr. Cherif Boutros, medical director of The Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center. “He brings a wealth of expertise in novel therapies for central nervous system tumors, targeted radiation using radioactive isotopes, and accelerated partial breast techniques designed to minimize long-term side effects. His experience further strengthens our team’s commitment to delivering the highest quality cancer care close to home.”

He completed his residency in radiation oncology at Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health–Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he served as chief resident. He is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. In addition to English, he is fluent in Hindi and Gujarati.

“I was drawn to Englewood Health because of its remarkable advancements in cancer care and its reputation as a leader in the field,” said Dr. Rao. “I look forward to building on that excellence by delivering innovative radiation treatments that maximize effectiveness while minimizing treatment time, allowing patients to receive the care they need with greater efficiency and comfort.”

Dr. Rao succeeds Dr. David Dubin, who dedicated almost 35 years to serving the community as a radiation oncologist and chief of radiation oncology at Englewood Hospital.
