Haddonfield-based Walters Group announced recently it has started construction of the Cornerstone At Stafford, a 100-unit income-restricted apartment community for seniors.
The community, located at 120 Campbell Blvd. in Manahawkin, is part of the Stafford Park redevelopment. It is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2019.
“As the number of seniors living in Monmouth and Ocean counties continues to increase, so does the demand for high-quality affordable housing,” said Joseph Del Duca, partner and general counsel, Walters Group. “This development is an exceptional housing option for seniors, offering high-end amenities as well as convenient access to the nearby Stafford Park retail shops and restaurants.”
Cornerstone At Stafford is within access to Exit 63 of the Garden State Parkway. It features 91 one-bedroom and nine two-bedroom plans, ranging from 626 square feet to 1,086 square feet. Amenities at the property include a community lounge, fitness area and wellness seminars.
“Cornerstone At Stafford is being designed as a sustainable development that will improve the health and wellbeing of residents while saving energy, environmental resources and money,” Del Duca said.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
