SHI hits revenue record of $4.6B for the first half of 2018

Somerset-based SHI International Corp., a provider of technology products and services, announced it has hit a record of $4.6 billion in revenue for the first half of 2018, shattering last year’s record by 21 percent.

The growth, it said, came from all divisions, partners and AWS services of the organization.

The company’s Public Sector division led the way with a 26 percent increase from last year. Its Commercial and Strategic Enterprise division and the Corporate and SMB division both grew 22 percent year over year. The Finance division led in international sales with a 50 percent increase.

SHI’s Top 4 partners — Microsoft, Dell, HP Inc. and Cisco — all grew 23 percent, while Adobe, Apple and Symantec — three companies in its Top 10 — rose at least 20 percent. Among SHI’s emerging partners, Palo Alto had the most growth with 162 percent when compared to last year.

It’s AWS division increased by 62 percent year-over-year. SHI said the increase was due to obtaining AWS technical certifications and expanding its AWS services.

“Worldwide, the public cloud services market is projected to grow 21 percent in 2018 to nearly $200 billion,” said Thai Lee, CEO and president of SHI. “While SaaS remains the largest segment of the cloud market, IaaS is the fastest growing this year. SHI’s credibility in the cloud marketplace helps us support the critical goals of cost and usage optimization. We’ve been staffing up our cloud resources in every customer vertical to better support the unique needs of each, and we are working closely with our valued partners to make our customers’ business and IT initiatives a reality.”
