Two tenants have leased space at a retail development currently under construction in Edison, according to Cushman & Wakefield.
Family and cosmetic dental chain iSmile Dental took over 2,500 square feet at 1906 Route 27 and Taiwanese dessert chain Meet Fresh committed to 2,000 square feet at the same location. This is Meet Fresh’s first New Jersey Location, Cushman & Wakefield said.
David Townes, senior director of the firm’s Retail Service Group based in East Rutherford, along with Alana Friedman, senior associate, represented the landlord in both deals. Joe Lombardi of Masserano Real Estate and Consulting LLC represented iSmile while KC Cheah of KCC Realty represented Meet Fresh.
The 11,000-square-foot strip mall, Cushman & Wakefield said, is slated for delivery later this year. The property is within close access to Interstate 287 and Lincoln Highway.
“Dining and health care are important components of today’s overall retail experience and comprise a larger percentage of tenant mixes than ever before,” Townes said. “1906 Route 27 offers tenants the opportunity to establish a presence in a densely populated, fundamentally strong market. We expect both iSmile Dental and Meet Fresh to enjoy tremendous success here.”
Financial terms of the leases were not disclosed.
