N.J. school tops ’30 Best Online Masters in Management Information Systems’ list by OnlineCollegePlan

OnlineCollegePlan has released its latest ranking of master’s degrees in management information systems, and a New Jersey school topped the list.

The field sits on the crux of human and information systems and seeks to optimize them, OCP said.

This year, OCP narrowed its list to 30 schools by surveying more masters in management information systems than any year prior. It also employed a ranking system that was broken down into three categories:

  • Program financial score (33.3%): the percentage of students whose financial need were met as well as the robustness of the financial aid department and offerings;
  • Academic Support Measures (33.3%): including student-to-faculty ratios, average graduation rates and time-until graduation;
  • Academic Quality (33.3%): presence of high profile research opportunities and designations.

Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken was ranked No. 1 on the list due to quality support, financial and admissions standards, as well as the depth and flexibility of the program’s curriculum, OCP said. Students in the program can specialize in project management, software engineering, business process and service innovation, cybersecurity risk management, and business analytics and intelligence.
