Dun & Bradstreet, a Short Hills-based provider of data and analytics for businesses, announced on Thursday it has named Gary Kotovets as its chief data officer.
In this role, Kotovets will be responsible for leading the firm’s global data strategy and identifying ways to transform the business as it continues to explore new digital and alternative data opportunities. He will report to Stephen C. Daffron, president.

Prior to Dun & Bradstreet, Kotovets served as the global head of data acquisition and management at Bloomberg L.P.
