BMC Hospital LLC announced on Wednesday it has signed a letter of intent with CarePoint Health to purchase Bayonne Medical Center.
The aim of the buy is to strengthen the hospital’s long term success as an acute care facility in Hudson County.
BMC said it specializes in reviving financially distressed ambulatory surgery centers and getting the back up into working order for their communities. Its approach includes closely collaborating with physicians and nurses to improve health, convenient patient-centered services and state-of-the-art equipment.
“Bayonne is the kind of closely-knit community we love to serve,” Wayne Hatami, president of BMC Hospital LLC, said. “We’re looking to engage with the center’s leadership and employees, its unions, the mayor and community, and work closely with the doctors and nurses to ensure that Bayonne gets the quality acute care hospital it needs and deserves.”
Once the deal is finalized, BMC Hospital LLC said it will offer employment to current employees at the center.
