As the state and nation struggle with unemployment due to coronavirus-related shutdowns, an “essential” South Jersey business is looking to hire, it announced recently.
Bancroft, the Cherry Hill-based provider of support and services for people with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and brain injuries, is looking to fill more than 400 full- and part-time permanent positions in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware region.
Bancroft noted that its services and employees are working 24/7 through the COVID-19 outbreak, as essential health care services.
“These are not temporary positions,” Director of Talent Acquisition Jonathan Lutz said in a prepared statement. “We are looking for caring, compassionate candidates who have found themselves out of work and are ready to explore a new career where they can truly make an impact.”
Most positions are in direct support, providing one-on-one care to adults and children who live in the nonprofit’s residential programs, the company said. A variety of shifts are available and benefits include tuition reimbursement. Experience in not required, as Bancroft provides extensive training.
“Jobs in health care and human services are among the fastest-growing professions in the country—but they’re also among the most secure and sustainabile,” Lutz said. “As essential employees, they remain in high demand, especially in times of crisis.”
