Levin Management: Popeyes leases space in Woodbridge

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen will be a new dining option at St. Georges Crossing in Woodbridge, according to North Plainfield-based Levin Management Corp., the exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 343,000-square-foot, grocery-anchored property.

LMC’s E.J. Moawad represented the landlord, and Jeffery Realty‘s Shane Wierks represented Popeyes in its 2,500-square-foot lease.

“This well-established Popeyes franchisee was drawn to the local market’s proven history of successful quick-service and fast-casual restaurants,” Moawad said. “St. Georges Crossing, with its prime location, exposure and excellent demographics, is a terrific fit within this context. Popeyes’ menu has wide appeal, and we are excited to expand the property’s dining options with the addition of this nationally recognized chain.”

Founded in 1972, Popeyes builds upon the Cajun and creole flavors of Louisiana’s history. The chain’s New Orleans-style menu features spicy chicken, chicken tenders, fried shrimp and more. It currently has more than 2,700 locations worldwide.

Popeyes will share a freestanding former restaurant building with XFinity Retail Store at the shopping destination, which is located at the intersection of routes 1, 9 and 35. Anchored by a ShopRite, St. Georges Crossing’s offers a mix of retail, restaurants and service tenants including P.C. Richard & Son, T.J.Maxx, West Marine, Blue alehouse, PetSmart, AutoZone, Verizon Wireless, House of Wine & Liquor, European Wax Center, Visionworks, Taco Bell, GameStop, and more.
