Alfred Sanzari Enterprises buys Rockleigh industrial building, home of NVC Logistics

Alfred Sanzari Enterprises, the Hackensack-based real estate firm, has acquired an industrial building in Rockleigh — near the New York border in Bergen County — it announced recently.

The 78,650-square-foot building at 1 Pond Road includes 63,500 square feet of warehouse space and 15,150 square feet of office space, as well as loading docks and more, Sanzari said in a news release. It bought the property from the Jewish Home Foundation for an undisclosed price.

The building is less than a mile from the border, as well as less than five miles from the Palisades Interstate Parkway and less than 15 miles from the George Washington Bridge and Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, with access to major regional highways — and other transportation hubs — as well.

“Our portfolio of high-performing, stable industrial assets has been a key component for much of our success over the past 75 years,” Stephen Jennings, Sanzari’s vice president of leasing and marketing, said in a prepared statement. “The acquisition of 1 Pond Road only enhances our robust property offerings and provides our firm with a strategically located, stabilized industrial property in the heart of one of the region’s most in-demand industrial markets.”

The property is fully leased to NVC Logistics Group for its headquarters and New York City regional warehouse, Sanzari said, and joins the firm’s 21-building North Jersey industrial portfolio.

“We look forward to building a lasting relationship with NVC Logistics Group and continuing to ensure this remains one of the market’s premier industrial properties for years to come,” Jennings said.

Andrew Somple of NAI James E. Hanson represented Sanzari in the transaction, while Don Eisen and Andrew Schwartz of Cushman & Wakefield represented the foundation.
