Coming home: NYC architectural firm, Mancini Duffy, opening office in Red Bank

Both heads of firm are lifelong Monmouth County residents

For Christian Giordano and Scott Harrell, the co-owners of New York City-based architectural firm Mancini Duffy, the decision to open a satellite office in Red Bank was easy.

Business is booming in Monmouth County — and Monmouth County is where they call home.

The 105-year-old, tech-driven architecture and design firm will open a 2,500-square-foot office in Red Bank this month. The office, in the Anderson Building at 200 Monmouth St., can serve a dozen employees. It’s the firm’s third office and second in New Jersey.

Giordano, who serves as president, and Harrell, principal, said they and their business partners are excited to be part of the redevelopment of the west side of Red Bank’s cultural Arts & Antique District.

“As there has been migration out of New York City, more company leaders who reside in Monmouth County realize their company can be here, too, to cater to their existing local clients,” Giordano said. “It is essential to be nearby to foster relationships to fuel our growth.

“Right now, it’s the busiest Mancini has ever been with projects in New Jersey. In some respects, the focus of our projects has shifted from larger corporate headquarters to more regional offices and specialty buildings and interiors.”

Harrell said he sees a lot of potential for growth in the state.

“I see tremendous opportunity for Mancini to expand throughout New Jersey,” he said. “Industrial warehousing is a booming market sector, with millions of square feet currently available to be developed, and to be part of that growth would be fantastic.

“The wave of the future in the built world is distribution centers and warehousing. I also foresee mixed-use projects becoming a significant opportunity for growth, including the master plans at Fort Monmouth, the Monmouth Mall, etc.”

Mancini has worked with numerous companies in New Jersey, including Bell Works, Commvault, Mars Wrigley, Jersey Central Power & Light, Guardian Life Insurance, Saxum Real Estate, Acacia, Breakwater Treatment & Wellness, and the Vault.
